Rev. Valencia D. Jackson, M.Div., Pastor

Pastor Valencia D. Jackson  was born and raised in Lake Charles, LA. Her parents are the late Shelton J. Jackson and Patricia Jackson Gallow. As she grew, this young woman accepted Christ at the age of 12 and had a call to preach at the age of 16 .

She is a 1991 graduate of Oral Roberts University and a 1997 Graduate of UMKC.  She is a retired school teacher  of Kansas City  Missouri School District. God has placed a deep yearning into Pastor Jackson’s spirit to form the “Sound the Trumpet International Ministry.” The motto is to “stay connected to the clarion sound”. She has a heart to encourage women in the ministry and those that have heard the call to be obedient and like Nike “Just do it.” No matter what, if you are obedient God will take of care the rest. HE is provider for the vision.

Rev. Valencia D. Jackson was ordained an Itinerate Deacon  in 2004  under Bishop John R. Bryant in the Midwest Conference in the 5th District.  She has earned a Master of Divinity Degree from Saint Paul School of Theology in 2013. She was ordained an Itinerate Elder in 2013 under Bishop T. Larry Kirkland in the Midwest Conference. Pastor Valencia Jackson has pastored several churches St. Luke AME in Norborne Mo., Zion AME in Mayview, Mo.  Mariah Walker AME in Kansas City Mo. and Bethel AME Church in Manhattan Kansas. She served as Assistant Pastor at St. Paul AME Church in Lake Charles, LA. Rev. Jackson transferred to the Central North Louisiana Conference in the 8th Episcopal District and in October 2020 Bishop Julius H. McAllister, Sr. assigned her to the pastoral charge of Bethel AME in Dequincy Louisiana.
