Rev. genevia w. beatty

Rev. Genevia W. Beatty, is an ordained local elder of Bethel AME church in DeQuincy, La. Rev. Beatty is a long time resident of DeQuincy, La. where she attended Grand Avenue H. S. and graduated from DeQuincy High School. She later matriculated to SOWELA Technical college where she received her associate degree in Business Administration in 1979. She also is a graduate from C. G. Mason Bible College in 1998.

 

Rev. Beatty answered the call to ministry under Rev. Roland Baker. She was licensed to preach the gospel by Presiding Elder David J. Campbell, Jr. on August 28, 2000. After completing all studies required by the AME church, she was ordained itinerant Deacon on October 28, 2001 by Bishop C. Garnett Henning. Then on October 27, 2002, she was ordained a Local Elder by Bishop C. Garnett Henning.

 

Rev. Beatty has served numerous roles at Bethel, her home church, such as church secretary, member of the WMS, Lay organization and a stewardess. She currently serves as the Christian Ed. Director and Bible Study teacher. She is an outstanding preacher and a very well-respected leader in the DeQuincy community. She is happily married to Arnold Beatty.
